Avelyn is an experienced registered migration consultant who specialises in family visas and appeals at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Born in China and raised in Singapore, she has native fluency in Mandarin and English. Being a first-generation immigrant herself, she gets the strains and joys of calling a familiar foreign land home. After having been admitted as a lawyer in Queensland, she has practised as a solicitor and immigration lawyer in New South Wales. She has since left traditional legal practice to specialise as a registered migration agent. Outside of work at Kin Migration, she is a pro bono evening advisor at the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service (RAILS) in West End, Brisbane.
